Outbreak Declared Over:

• After consultation with Public Health, the Respiratory Outbreak has been declared over today for all home areas of the Hillcrest building (Bayview Suites, Dominion Suites, Georgian Suites & Harbour Suites).
• Activities can resume to a normal schedule for all asymptomatic residents in these areas.

Visitor Requirements:

Universal Masking Remains in Effect for All Home Areas:

• All visitors and staff must wear surgical masks upon entry to the facility
• Wash or sanitize your hands regularly.
• Do not visit if you are experiencing respiratory or enteric symptoms
• All visitors are encouraged to be vaccinated
• Full PPE required when visiting residents in isolation (N95 mask, gown, eye protection, gloves—remove upon exit and don surgical mask)

Public Health is still seeing respiratory infections in the community. At this time, we will be continuing with universal masking.  We will re-evaluate this as we see the community spread decrease. Visitors will be allowed to drop their masks in private area only. If visiting a resident in shared room, curtains must be pulled to protect roommate if visitor is dropping mask.
