We’re pleased to welcome Dr. Nicole McKenney, Optometrist, back to Hillcrest for an onsite eye exam clinic on Monday, November 9, 2026. Having Dr. McKenney come to Hillcrest means residents can access their eye care conveniently, without having to arrange transportation to an outside clinic.

What is covered by OHIP?

For residents 65 years of age and older, eligible routine eye examinations are covered by OHIP. Generally, seniors are eligible for one OHIP-covered eye examination every 18 months. Residents with certain medical conditions may be eligible for more frequent examinations.

Mobile Clinic Fee

While the eligible eye examination is covered by OHIP, OHIP does not cover the costs associated with bringing the mobile eye clinic, equipment and services to Hillcrest.

A non-refundable $80 mobile clinic fee per resident will apply for the November 9th clinic. This fee is separate from the OHIP-covered eye examination.

Corn Cookout & Classic Cars - September 16th

Time: 1:45pm to 4:00pm

Family & Friends come join us for a “Corn Cookout & Classic Cars” event. Enjoy some ‘cooler’ corn, live music from Jerry Moreau & Co. and check out the classic cars that are sure to get your engine revved! This event will also have our very own Mayor Bill Gordon popping by to partake in the fun!
