Accommodation Rate Changes - Effective July 1, 2026

As per the Ministry of Long-term Care, we have received notice of an inflationary increase of 2.1 per cent which will be applied to the co-payment rates for basic and preferred accommodation in LTC Homes. The (Maximum) basic co-payment rate will increase from $68.56 per day ($2,085.37 per month) to $70.00 per day ($2,129.17 per month). The private room rate will increase from $97.95 per day ($2,979.32 per month) to $100.01 per day or $3,041.97 per month.

All residents receiving a rate reduction should re-apply for a reduction in the basic co-payment rate for the 2026-27 cycle, beginning on July 1, 2026. Please provide the residents 2025 Notice of Assessment to Reception or email to mtorraville@hvcc.ca.

Emergency Management

Our home is currently reviewing our emergency management policies and procedures. As part of this review, we have sent out a survey asking whether you, or someone in your family, would be able to take your loved one home temporarily, if we ever needed to fully evacuate the home. Please note that this survey does not require or obligate you to take your loved one into your care; we are simply exploring whether this support may be available should a disaster occur. Knowing which families are able to help in this way will allow us to plan effectively for this type of event. We understand that circumstances may change and that at the time of an event, it may not be feasible for you to take your loved one home; however, this information will give us an idea of who may have the ability, should the need for an emergency evacuation occur.

Father’s Day Classic Car Show - June 17th
